Solid State Drive = Adults never ever again complaining about how "slow" their computer is. That is all.It doesn't even have to be a good SSD. Instantaneous random I/O is good enough that loading up a web browser, even from a cold boot on a single-core computer, no longer annoys you. You don't need 500 MB/S read/write. This first-gen OCZ Vertex is enough to trick my dad into thinking an identical non-SSD equipped laptop had legitimate problems.Seriously, 90% of what you consider a computer being a piece of garbage is due to the slow 5400 RPM hard drives in notebooks. Programs loading slow? That's not a CPU problem, that's your shitty hard drive choking on I/O. Can't download while watching a video from your hard drive? That's your buffer overflowing because the stupid heads on your hard drive can't do 2 things at once. Try an ultrabook? They're snappy, but it has nothing to do with the anemic, low-voltage CPUs in them...</rant>
